Aloo palak recipe / Aloo palak sabzi

Aloo palak recipe, aloo palak curry, aloo palak recipe in hindi आलू पालक . Aloo Palak Recipe is a delicious North Indian Curry Recipe with potatoes in a green, smooth and spicy spinach gravy, which is good in tasty and healthy too. Aloo means Potato and Palak means Spinach in Hindi. In this video you will learn how to make Aloo Palak. You can make this Aloo Palak Recipe in quick time for Lunch or Dinner and served with Chapati or Paranthas



Potato – 3 cut into cubes
Tomato – 2 fresh puree
Spinach (palak) – 1/2 Kg
(boiled and blend coarsely).
Cinnamon powder – 1/2 tsp
A pinch of Asafoetida powder (hing)
Cumin seeds (zeera) – 1/2 tsp
Dry red chili – 1
Bay leaf – 2
Ginger paste – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Garam masala – 1 tsp
Salt – 1 tsp
Gram flour (besan) – 1 Tbsp
Red chili powder – 1/2 tsp
Oil- 2 Tbsp


Take a pan and add oil.
Heat the oil, bay leaf and cumin seeds.
Add Asafoetida powder and dry red chili.
Add turmeric powder, cinnamon powder and potatoes.
Fry potatoes for 2 mins.
Add salt and mix well.
Add 1/2 cup water and cook for 5 mins with closed lid.
When potatoes are cooked add besan and cook for 1 min.
Add tomato puree, ginger paste, red chili powder, coriander powder and Garam masala..
Add spinach and mix well.
Add 1/2 cup water and cook for 10 mins.
Mix well and now Palak Aloo is ready to serve hot with chapattis.
